Table Editor
On this page:
Introduction
Creating tables in Jira issues can be a pain. Especially if you're on Jira Data Center and still have to use the old Jira Markup, where tables have to be created with syntac like this ||table heading 1||table heading 2|| etc.
Luckily, Tables in Simple Team Pages leverage a nice table editor that Atlassian created to make creating and managing tables really easy.
Newly inserted tables always start out with 3 columns and 3 rows.
As you can see, tables have the option of having a header row (shown above), header columnn, and/or numbered columns.
Deleting Rows and Columns
Rows and columns can be selected, which allows easy deletion of rows, and columns.
Delete a Selected Row
Click on a table then click on the gray area to the left of the row to select the entire row. From there, click on the “x” button to immediately delete the row.
Delete a Selected Column
Do the same process as deleting a row however by clicking on the small gray area just above the table header. Finally, click on the small “x” button to delete the entire column.
Table Cell Formatting
Cells support additional options, and can also be given a background color.
Table Content Support
In fact, each cell can contain pretty much any content.
Inserting and Resizing Rows and Columns
Inserting rows or columns, as well as resizing columns is easy using provided actions and drag & drop.
note:
It is not possible to create nested tables, or to place a Layout inside of a table.
